INSOMNIA
Egyptian goddess of the night NUT, with her dark body made of nocturnal and starry sky, harvests on Earth Papaver Somniferum.
This collection, counting of hand-painted plates, soup bowls, bigger vessels and espresso cups was conceived as a token, a magic charm against Insomnia, a talisman for a good night sleep.
I gave importance to the back of the plate too inspired by personal experience acquired in my italian family: we used to cover the hot ready dish with onther plate when someone is late, to keep the meal warm.The goddess on the plate embraces the soup bowl in a tender protective act.

SYLVAN BLUE CREATURES
Inspired by ancient herbal manuscript "Compendium Salernitanum" (Northern Italy, possibly Venice, 1350-1375 AC), J.L. Borges "Libro degli esseri immaginari" and Dolomites trips, these plates are hand-painted with blue, light grey and black engobbio colours. Original white clay plates are realised by skilled craftmen in Bassano del Grappa (VI). Glazed on the surface. SOLD OUT.
